		<description>Wouldn&#039;t that depend on the speed of rotation ?
If I need it to run for 20 seconds but it takes 12 seconds to go round, it would have to stop after either 12 or 24 seconds, both of which are probably ungood...</description>

Of course, you could propose a platter that rotates between X and Y times per minute depending on the total time, but given that you can also stop a microwave in mid-rotation whenever you like, it becomes....tricky.</description>
